Poverty

It is the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions.

Poverty in India is widespread, with the nation estimated to have a third of the world's poor. In 2010, World Bank stated, 32.7% of the total Indian people fall below the International poverty line of US $1.25 per day (Purchasing Power Parity) while 68.7% live on less than US $2 per day.
